i'm back from my Malacca trip and as usual i'll update u guys the most i can n i better do it fast when it's fresh in my head.. hehex~

i started my journey on the 27th Dec n back 2day, 29th Dec..
The 3 days there is like Food heaven for me.. =x
definitely gain weight ad dun nid ask.. hohoho...
anyways, the plan was to go Penang at first but mum told me so late that there's no more flight tix.. so when she planned to go Sabah she said to expensive and not worth it pulak.. @@
so we decided to go to the 2nd Best place for Food in M'sia, MALACCA!
lucky us, mum had a good fwen of us there and she's reli been in Malacca a long time and she juz noe's every part of it... she's like a tour guide.. and she provides superb hospitality.. the only thing is tat she sometimes talk to much.. @@ and her driving is..... zzZZzzz... terrible bah.. hahahx~ but she's a reli nice person... glad that she's there if not we would'nt be eating any nice food in Malacca coz u reli must noe where to go for them..
alright b4 we start, i wanna say that mostly the pics here are food.. =x and all of them are made from pure Baba n Nyonyas except ones that is mentioned.. i seriously hope that i can remember the names.. heheh.. enjoy ppl~

First stop, auntie's house.. a.k.a our hotel.. xD
it's not reli dat big from the outside.. but we were given the master bedroom.. @@
so it's like hotel.. hahahx~ but glad that we had some shut eyes... usually i can't sleep in places other then by dirty bedroom. =x

we had a quick rest b4 we went for dinner...
first Malacca food we had, SATAY CELUP~!!!!
forgotten the name of the shop ad coz there was another one down the street and they have to wait outside since it's overcrowded....

yeah the "kuah" was heated in the middle of the table and the gas stove is rite under the table and we can reli feel the HEAT when we were eating.. hahax~ oh i tripped on the gas tank's tube like twice @@ so paiseh.. >.<

the "kuah" was seriously fantastic.. i've eaten so many satay "kuah" and this is like the best i've eaten... there's so much crunched nuts and it's like so thick!!! now that's wad i call a real satay "kuah".. this is not a nyonya specialty.. it's juz a famous food in Malacca..

saw that green thingy.. yea it's raw kangkung.. and my mum took the "si ham"... i hate both of them so i never tried them.. hahax~ yucks~! xD

i would say it's cheap coz it only cost us Rm33 @@

then we went to the famous tourist spot in Malacca, Jonker Walk..
we got problem finding for parking coz it's packed wif ppl~!!
duh coz it's Sunday.. but we've no other time to come so we had to..
Look at the streets in malacca, most of them are like dat..
in kuantan we can actually find it in Jalan Besar.. it's exactly like it.. wif 2 old building blocks opposite the streets and in Malacca, the streets are juz smaller and tat's y there's always traffic jams there... heard that mostly the shops in this old streets are about to close down.. i reli hope some1 will do something about it.. it's like the historical buildings and shops of Malacca and they should'nt be treated this way.. it's something that had to be taken good care of... never want them to be forgotten u noe.. it's a state of art..

we have to walk a distance to Jonker Walk, and Jonker Walk is seriously LONGER then i've imagined.. @@
it's so long that i'd rather go shopping in the mall instead..
i mean the length should be able to deal wif but the CROWD omigosh it's terrible packed!!!

i've missed 1 thing in Jonker Walk, Pulut Piring.. i tot i'll get them after i finished walking but when i went back to that stall it's sold out.. =( that's one of the famous food in Jonker Walk.. others are juz uneatable.. @@ as in like it's for tourism sake.. real Malaccans don't take them here.. they noe where the Gold lies.. xD
since i've never been to Jonker Walk so i decided y not we take a look..
There's a stage there where ppl go up and karaoke.. for free.. xD it's all hokkien song.. @@ n i reli hear till i'm so bored coz at home i listen to them everyday.. hahax~
usually the elderly will be there.. look at them haha

mum bought a pair for granma n i bought the miniature 1.. saw them there? hahax ~ they're juz so adorable.. >.<
it seriously reminds us of the old times.. haha.. when i was young i use to see those in my house.. hohoho..

the crowd was terribly big and it's so difficult to keep track.. sometimes i even miss out wif some stalls coz it's juz too crowded wif ppl that i can't even see them.. @@
it's like going through a jungle juz tat it's full of sweaty and noisy ppl.. hahahx~
if i bring a kid there that poor kid will definitely go missing.. @@

after we finished the long challenging journey, we walked ahead to the Malacca river..
the place where Malacca was born.. yerpz, the place where there's a story about Parameswara sitting under the Malacca tree and saw the kancil kicking his poor old hunting dog into the river.. xD and i can't see the Malacca tree.. @@ i guess that's the one.. the green tree.. @@ i mean the one wif the light.. hahax~
there's the river cruise but auntie said that it stinks like hell and all u do is juz go along the rive and see more and more trees.. so i guess i wouldn't waste my money and time for tat.. @@

Look at the cute trishaw... =) the last time i see those were 7 years ago.. @@ yerpz.. that long.. n i think last time 1 better.. well i guess they only run at nite coz the nice lights all over them only can be seen at nite.. xD

and nowadays roads in Malacca are run mostly by motorists... whereas last time there were juz trishaws..~~ reli would love to see the peaceful scenary long time ago.~
here's the clock tower nex to the Malacca River.. and there's the Dutch windsmill but it's like a miniature 1.. i've seen big ones in Amsterdem, so i din take a pic of that..

oh i bought this in Jonker Walk, since auntie said it's okayh.. hehex~
okayh dis wan i seriously forget the name.. @@

we din noe we have to walk back to the other side of the street back to the car.. which means we have to go through the darn crowd AGAIN!!! fuh~!!! terribly tired tat nite.. went back and straight away fainted on the bed..

the nex day, auntie bought us all the Nyonya kuihs~!!! ^^

all these kuihs can be found anywhere, also in kuantan.. BUT, these kuihs were made by pure Baba n Nyonyas so they taste 100% different and all of them can't be compared like the ones i've eaten in Kuantan. they juz totally cut off my interest wif other similar kuihs in Kuantan. it's heavenly..

after breakfast we went Mahkota Square.. seriously din think that we're going shopping nyways.. hahax~ den we walked to Dataran Pahlawan.. did some shopping.. i mean LOADS of shopping hahahx~
here's a fountain, where u can see carved pictures on the wall.. they are actually historical stories in Malacca and easy to understand.. xD
Koi fishes are inside the small pool surrounding it..

and guess wad.. as common as any special fountain there is, ppl toss coins in there and make wishes.. lets hope that the fishes won't eat them up~ xD

For lunch, we went for Nyonya food, and one of the famous place is Nyonya Makko...
n wad i mean is Nyonya dishes.. no more kuihs.. xD

since there's only 3 of us we can't reli order that much..
so we called Kari Lemak Nanas, Belacan sweet potato leaves, and Fried chicken..

The fried chicken is like non that i've tried b4..
wadever is in the secret recipie it seriously tastes totally different and it's superb!

our dessert, cendol... and guys, i wanna warn u, dat after i tried this cendol, i will never ever said any other cendol dat i've tried can reach this stage.. hahax~ it's fantastic..
it's a homemade cendol and the Gula Melaka is in perfect amount.. the gula melaka here is different frm the gula melaka we had.. it tastes much better..

alright, after that we went back home and got some good rest.. hahax~ trying to empty my stomache for more!!! >.<

at nite, we went to the Newton Food Court..
the famous food there was the Ikan Pari Bakar.. and it was reli nice..

the chee cheong fun here is different from the ones i've eat b4.. it's soft enuff and sweet and salty enuff.. though tis is not reli the specialty there..

now that is wad i called ikan bakar... it smells great and it tastes even better~!! it's not so spicy and it's HOT when we had it..

after dinner we went Portugis Settlement..

the special thing bout this place is that the houses around the area decorate their houses superbly for xmas.. the owners are mostly portugese.. i've never seen decorations so full of spirit b4 for xmas.. n i tot the interior decorations are only the important ones..
but look at these.. ALL of the houses are full of decorations.. i only took those which are nice.. enjoy:

they do open their gates for ppl to go in and take photos.. coz the decorations are juz

there's a donation box there! hahax~ it's for churches and yea we definitely did put money in there.. xD

and alas, their BIG neon xmas tree hahahx~

alright, that's that for the night... we went back home and took our good rest..
the nex day, more nyonya kuihs.. hahahx~
dun dare to take so much.. juz ate this:

kuih.... kuih... kuih.... forgot.. @@ 2moro oni ask mummy.. xD

in kuantan u can find those but it's brown in colour instead.. this kuih tastes much better coz it's actually made of 100% pandan and the sweetness of the pandan taste is totally there.. xD

b4 we travel back to ktn, we had the famous chicken rice ball.. hohhox~
those aren't fishballs my fwen.. hahax~ it's rice balls..

we also went and collected our kuihs and "zhong"...

this famous nyonya "zhong" is reli popular.. the lady was tieing them for almost 30 years now.. and she's now ageing 75++.. this is the one and only best nyonya "zhong" dat can be found in Malacca... it came up in many travel and living channels in Astro b4..
ppl frm all over the states and s'pore take orders and they don't order one or two.. they order round 50++ @@
and mum juz took home 50 of them.. the whole journey can smell "zhong" only.. hahahx~

fuh.. i've gotta say that there're loads of singaporeans there.. and surprisingly, they reli noe their way around Malacca.. haahx~

i'm satisfied wif this trip coz it's more and more den i expect b4 i went Malacca..
the food there ppl, are seriously superb.. and i reli can't wait to go Penang!!! num1 best place for food in M'sia!!! hahahahhax~!!!! cravings!!! ^^
